Paris.

There's a new challenge at Waltzingmouse. It's not a very easy one, I think... it took a lot of time finding the right colors and stamps. But I chose the Paris Nouveau stamp set. I added a pink background behind the Eiffel Tower and this one comes from the Pic-nic Patterns stamp set. I added some felt flowers and the white leaves are made on vellum. I also used my sewing machine for the edges, added some pink twine, candi dots and a little flag.

Pink Gerbera Daisies.

Here's my card for the Bring Back Beautiful Challenge of Flourishes. This month we were asked to pick our favorite flower and make it the centerpiece of the card. Difficult to chose my favorite one, because I love a lot of different flowers, but this time I chose the Gerbera Daisies of the Flourishes stamp set of the same name. I cut some parts of the flowers and put them on pop dots to give them a 3D effect. I also added some platinum sparkle on the middle of the flowers! I made the background on vellum with the Damask Background Stamp of Flourishes. I also used the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die. Then I just added a cute white vellum butterfly, a bow and a green button.

Here's a close-up of the flowers and the butterfly:

I will also enter this card to the Shabby Tea Room Challenge. This is the second card I enter this time! The colors of my card and the flower were just perfect for this challenge!

I wish you all a sunny and nice week-end!

Snowdrops.

There's a new challenge at Flourishes. The Timeless Tuesday #170  is all about flowers. Beate is the hostess this week and she asks us to use a flower image on our project. I decided to take the beautiful snowdrops of the Botanical Bookplates vol.1 stamp set of Flourishes. I cut some of the petals and put them on pop dots to give them a 3D effect. I also made the background on vellum with the Damask Background Stamp. I used many dies to make the background of the flowers: the fence is from Marianne Design then there are two dies from Spellbinders, Floral Ovals and Labels Four. The border is made with the Victorian Border. I added some pink washi tape and a bow with a pink button, a tag and three pink gems.

A close-up of the flowers:

I will also enter this card to The Shabby Tea Room. I was inspired by this beautiful photo. The theme of this week #115 is "Garden Party" and Rebekah asks us to create a card inspired by the colors from the inspiration photo and include a dimensional flower. I also used the sketch of the Mojo Monday #242 to create my card:

The Hot Air Balloon.

Greetings from Italy and Switzerland! My husband and me went with another couple by plane to Milano and then by car to Switzerland for a few days. The weather was nice and we enjoyed our stay there. Now back at home and ready to make new cards! Today there's a Blog Party at Waltzingmouse. The theme is Felt and Cozy fabrics. I made a card using the sketch of this week's Sketch Challenge. I made the Hot Air Ballon of the Half Pint Heroines with pink and white felt, added three white felt clouds and a few birds. The background is made with one of the Gingham & Co stamp set.  I also made a bow with a heart and a tag. The text on the tag is from the Half Pint Heroes stamp set. Just a few gems and a little bow of twine on the girl's hair and here it is:

Butterfly, Blue, Bow and Button.

It's Timeless Tuesday #169 at Flourishes. Maki is the host this week and she asks us to pick one alphabet letter and use at least three supplies/elements that start with the letter of our choice. I chose the letter "B" for Butterfly, Blue, Bow and Button... and maybe also Birthday! I chose one of the flower of the Flourishes Butterfly Blossoms stamp set and colored it with my Distress Markers. I adhered it on the Spellbinders Floral Ovals die. I also stamped the Antique Lace stamp on vellum and put it on the blue background. Under it you can see the beautiful Romantic Rectangles frame of Spellbinders. Just added a green background, a bow with a green button and a tag from the Tiny Flowers and Tags of Flourishes. And on the top of all, a white butterfly embossed on vellum from the Gerbera Daisies stamp set.

I will also enter this card to the Mojo Monday 241. Here's the sketch of this week:

Pink cottage.

There's a new Sketch Challenge at the Waltzingmouse Stamps. It's already the Challenge #97! This time I made a pink cottage with the beautiful stamp of the Waltzingmouse "Cottage Home" stamp set I just won!  Thank you Claire for this set I like very much! The first background is from the Gingham & Co and the second one from the Pic-nic Patterns stamp set. I popped the front part of the house with dimensionals and added three little pink gems. I also made a tag, put a button in the shape of a heart and some twine.

Tea kettle and cup.

There's a new challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. The theme for this week #113 is "Pretty as a Pitcher". We have a beautiful photo for inspiration and we are asked to create a card using the colors of the photo and also include a rose. My tea kettle and cup are from the Waltzingmouse "Afternoon Tea" stamp set. I put them on one of the Spellbinders Floral Ovals die. I also stamped the Flourishes Antique Lace stamp on vellum and adhered it on a pink die cut from the Romantic Rectangles of Spellbinders. I made some roses with my Sizzix Flowers, 3-D die. I put a ribbon and made a bow with a May Arts silk white ribbon. I just added a little tea kettle charm and a pink gem:

Fishing boy.

Still another Noon Time challenge at Flourishes today! This one is all about the men of our life! Our boys here in Finland like fishing during the summer and so I made a card for them. The background is from Flourishes, the stamp is called Antique Map. I made it on vellum. The little boy is from the Kids At Play stamp set. The die is from Spellbinders, Postage Stamps. I added a little tag (Tiny Flowers and Tags from Flourishes) and some twine with a button.

The Girl and the Butterfly.

There's a challenge at Flourishes called Home Sweet Home. We just have to take a photo of something in our home and make a card which is inspired by it. My 10 years old daughter made a big butterfly about 2 years ago and I took a picture about her holding it. I made a card using the Antique Lace stamp of Flourishes for the background. It was put on the biggest of the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles dies. Then I also cut one of the Floral Ovals die and I stamped the cute little girl from the Kids At Play stamp set of Flourishes. I also made a vellum butterfly with the Sizzix Butterfly #2. A gorgeous May Arts white silk ribbon was also put with a little butterfly as a decoration. My daughter chose the color of the blue background!

Pretty in Purple.

There's a Noon Time Challenge at Flourishes. This time we are asked to use purple... well, purple isn't really an easy color for me, but I was so happy to try my new Distress Markers! And I just love them! The background of my card is made on vellum with the Antique Lace stamp. The pansies are from the Botanical Bookplate vol. 2 stamp set. I cut them and put them with foam pads on a white base made with a Spellbinders Floral Ovals die. The text on the tag comes from the same set. I made a border with my sewing machine, put three gems and made a bow with a green button.

Happy Mother's Day.

The Timeless Tuesday challenge #168 at Flourishes is just perfect for me! The theme is "PINK-A-LICIOUS"!! I just love pink and so my card is nothing more than pink!! It comes just for the right time, because here in Finland Mother's Day will be this Sunday, on the 13th of May. The background of the card is made with this gorgeous stamp Antique Lace of Flourishes. All the other stamps come from the Love and Lace stamp set. I used the biggest of the Spellbinders Tear Drop Circles die to make the beautiful background for the mother and the child. I just added some pearls, gems and a May Art ribbon with a little pink heart and here it is:

I will also enter this card to the Mojo Monday 240 - Contest. Here's the sketch we were given:

I also put a little bird in a cage. The text in the banner is from Waltzingmouse (French Country) and means Happy Birthday in french.

Echinaceas and butterflies.

It's Cindy's turn this week to hostess the Timeless Tuesday Challenge #167 at Flourishes. She asked us to use a butterfly! As I don't have any butterfly stamps from Flourishes (yet!), I stamped the Antique Lace stamp on vellum and embossed it with white powder. Then I used my butterfly die from Crealies and made two lacy butterflies! I also stamped the Echinacea flower from the With Gratitude stamp set. Just added a bow made with a ribbon from May Arts, a tag made with one of the Tiny Flowers and Tags from Flourishes and two green gems... I will also enter this card to the Mojo Monday 239 challenge. This week's sketch is Round or Square?

Pink butterfly.

There's a new sketch challenge at Waltzingmouse. This time I made a pink vellum butterfly embossed with powder. As you have noticed, I just love vellum! It is just perfect for a butterfly... so light! This one comes from the Nordic Spring stamp set and the flower is from the Big Bloom Chrysanthemums set. The background is made with one of the Romantic Rectangles dies. Under it you can see one of my favorite background, one of the Gingham & Co stamp set. I added a bow with a button and a tag. The text on it is from the French Country set. The ribbon is from May Arts and it's as light as the butterfly!
